Surprise, you've got money!
So, a couple of years ago I set up a couple of sites and put Amazon Affiliate ads and Google Adsense on them. I just checked my accounts and see that I've earned about $50 total. It's not much, but considering I haven't done much on the sites and certainly wasn't doing SEO, that's cool. Very encouraging that I'll be able to make money when I actually learn what I'm doing?

Way cool! Training will help you a lot. Me, I work hard at it. Trying to put stuff out "pages and posts" including all the training. i'm happy for you. Means when you do get the training out it will be better.
Just imagine what will happen when you put purposeful effort into build a site you are wildly passionate about. Good for you.
