Keyword--learning curve...

OK, so I created a Jaaxy account to find three good keywords to start creating content around. Wow, I searched for a lot of keywords that didn't meet the specified QSR and searches criteria!

My first dilemma: do I choose three keyword phrases related to one sub-topic of my site (such as haunted hayrides--for example, "haunted corn maze", "corn maze farms" and "halloween corn maze") or three keywords related to three different (but obviously related) sub-topics (for example, "corn maze farms", "visit farm animals" and "pick your own blueberries"). I decided on the latter. My rationale is that I can see a website that has three initial pages, one about corn mazes, one about farm animals, and one about pick your own fruit/trees/vegetables. Then I can start writing content for each page around the related keywords and hopefully get ranked in each. This approach made sense because otherwise I would have had a site that initially looked like a site about corn mazes, which I think is too narrow. Another benefit to the latter approach is that I have one topic for the fall (corn mazes), one for year-round (animals) and one for summer/fall (pick your own). And I plan to add sleigh rides as the next topic keyword" "christmas sleigh rides").

Second dilemma: choosing between frequently searched keywords with high (yet acceptable QSR) vs. keywords searched much less frequently but very low QSR. For example, "haunted corn maze" has a QSR of 255 and monthly searches of 2,683 whereas "corn maze farms" has a QSR of 58 but only 75 monthly searches. Kyle had a scenario like this come up in the training and he stressed the importance of getting ranked and he chose the term with the low QSR. My instinct would have been to go with the term getting searched most often, but I resisted the temptation and chose "corn maze farms".

Third question I haven't resolved yet...am I choosing the keywords to be researched correctly?? I entered a lot of term in Jaaxy before I found the above three (plus a couple of others to use down the road).

I welcome all feedback!!
