I have ordered a FaceBook advert and in the advert manager it is showing website clicks - about 16 at the moment, but these don't come up on my site stats and nor on my main af
Ok it would appear, I THINK, that maybe the first few clicks could be facebook testing the link(??) bcz now there are loads of "people reached" and very few additional clicks... but still the number doesn't really match up... has no one had any experience with these ads???
I've never used the FB ads so far, but I have used their "boost" campaign feature. You can "boost" a post with a specified budget. Posts that I have boosted have reached thousands of people with about half the amount of clicks. Unboosted posts usually only reach a fraction of those numbers.
And here is another strange thing about the FaceBook advert - For some of the ads (bcz I chose 4 different images to alternate between) the "people reached" result is "0" and yet there have been clicks registered! So no one has seen the ad but some have clicked on it... I don't know what's going on here...
Sometimes stats are off by hours before recorded to the tracking tool. I do not know if this is the case for you or not, just a thought?
Thankyou, Yeah I considered that possibility, but as my site is not getting regular visitors yet, it is fairly easy for me to monitor and today I ordered this advert and it tells me I have had 16 clicks to my website, but my jetpack site stats say I have only had 4.... ???
Well I can't say that I am 100% sure, but if I know someone has gone to check an article of mine (sometimes my affiliate manager or a friend will tell me in that moment that they are looking) the jetpack stats will usually reflect that immediately...
And then there is also the fact that the affiliate program page hasn't reflected the impressions either... I am super confused

Site stats differing from advert manager stats?

Sorry I don't use Facebook ads. But you use Jetpack? That use to be disallowed for WA hosted sites. I don't know about now or if you site is WA hosted though.
Good luck with a resolution to your problem. If you don't get an answer, shoot Kyle or Carson a PM. Or have you tried Googling it?
Hi Randy! I have my own hosting which was already set up before I started here at WA. I wonder why they would disallow Jetpack? Anyway I think I will shoot them a message, bcz it is really bugging me now, cos even if they were only test clicks by FB, they should not then be counted in the "response to your ad" stats... thanks for replying :)
Wish I could help you more, but I'm totally clueless regarding FB ads. Mind my asking where you host?
They disallow JP because it supposedly uses up too much bandwidth I think.
Oh no probs Randy, appreciate your efforts :)
I use Bluehost, have done for a couple of years (with a site that is just for fun) and so I added my affiliate site to that account cos I can have unlimited sites on it. I have sent a message to Kyle, hoping to hear back today sometime and so will post the answer here :) Interesting about Jetpack too...
