Directory service maintained by InterNic that lists name, street address, and contact information of people who own and/or maintain Internet sites.

Online directory service that lists users logged on to the network, and contact information on people responsible for it's management and maintenance.

Did you know that all you have to do to find out about the website owner is type WHOIS and the URL of any website to get this information?

There is a catch that most people who do not want to advertise all this private information use to cloak it.
