ADHD Is An Empowerment - Stay the Course

Hi Everyone. This is an update (5/30/21). I've been a member now for three months. In that time, I have learned a lot, yet am not exactly happy where I am, but in contradiction, I'm happy that I have accomplished... something. ADHD has a toll on a person and it's a slow learning process because of it. ADHD requires visual and audial stimuli in order to learn. Sometimes it takes "over the shoulder" type instructions so that one can learn hands-on. Even a video can have its disadvantages unless you have two monitors lit up. One to watch the video, and the other to do the work, pausing the other from time to time as the work is done.

There are bumps along the way here and I'm still learning and driving everyone nuts with all my questions. The kind of questions everyone has heard repeatedly, yet from a new person. I'm a very impatient person who loves immediate results. But, Au Con-traire, that doesn't happen. :)

I see good spirited hearts here, and it joys me to see such anxious people helping so many to succeed. With a limited capability to learn and act as fast as most of you, I still enjoy helping others to the best of my ability and doing my best to obtain my set goals. I may not be the first to reply, but you will get one. I may not even give the best answers. Others may contradict me because I may be flat out wrong in my opinions. I take constructive criticism well because I've gone through it numerous times. I've had my share of putting my foot in my mouth. :)

My dreams are simple. To be a good provider for my family. To get to a level in life where I can sustain myself comfortably on passive income and yet still work so I stay productive. I'm most miserable doing nothing, being complacent. I also like the knowledge that I can put a smile on others faces from my doings; having a listening ear without interruption, a shoulder to cry on, or doing an 80 year old's lawn.

But know this...To make others happy, one must be happy with his/her life first. Misery hates company, so please don't bring that to other's footsteps. Take care of you first. Be happy in what you do and accomplish. The rest will follow. God will bring certain people in your life, or events to bear... almost like a miracle, totally unexpected, yet perfectly timed. That's His way. Don't question it. Be Thankful. I know I am, in many ways. He has gotten me through so many hardships. It's ok to accept God's forgiveness, even when you feel it's not deserved. I keep trying to tell myself that at times. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6

Stay on this path of self-accomplishment. Let all of us here at WA guide you through this part of your life. God is there too ya' know. Thank Him often. :)
