I think you will best served to follow Brandon's (@socalbrandon) advice. If Google ranks highly for content and penalizes for having too many affiliate links or ads, you remove that from the equation at least until you get good rankings.

Even when you are ready to add back in some of the advertising/affiliate links, remember from the training to keep a centralized focus, meaning that you have your affiliate links on pages like reviews and then the other content that you write will internally link to those pages containing the affiliate links. This limits the number of affiliate links to something that Google, and more importantly, your readers, will appreciate and is likely to lead to better rankings.

I definitely would not use as many banners on the side. Plus from what I see you only have 5 posts and 3 other pages with content. For me personally I don't like to put any banners on until I have a steady stream of traffic. Banners are completely useless for you if you only have a small amount of visitors. You will literally be making pennies.

You should research more low hanging keywords, add more content. Give your content some time to rank and then when you have a steady flow of traffic and starting to gain a reputation is when I would put a banner or two on.
