YouTube introduced a video editor on its platform some time ago and has been improved over time. In 2010, the first major review took place and since then resources have been added over the years.
However, the question still remains in the air, whether YouTube Video Editor is reliable and if it can replace the other desktop editors. Fortunately, my YouTube Video Editor tutorial will help reflect on whether you intend to use this editor or not.
In the early days of YouTube Video Editor, all we could do was trim video clips, arrange the clips on the timeline, and add basic transitions and music. YouTube Video Editor now allows you to add video effects and create multiple projects simultaneously.
As a matter of fact, it has much other functionality, but in general, it has always remained a simple tool to use.
It may not be the ultimate solution for those with complicated project ideas in mind, but the Enhancements feature does a great job when you need to quickly polish a video, trim a fragment or add an audio track.
In addition to the not-so-unusual filters, color correction tools, and speed settings, YouTube has a few tools that you won't find in other free video editors. They are: stabilizing unstable camera movements – great for videos recorded on the move without professional equipment, face blur, and custom blur – typically done using tools in other video editing software.
The latter is often used for confidentiality purposes, not for creative purposes. You can consider blurring faces, numbers, names, marks, dates; GPS coordinates, license plates - whatever you feature you want to use is up to you.
This strong simplicity makes the platform very easy to use. Unlike other desktop editors, YouTube video Editor is much faster to process. Bearing in mind that this tool was developed with the aim of being easy to use, you can learn to master the features of YouTube Editor in the blink of an eye.
However, the downside of this simplicity is that it does not offer the same features as more advanced desktop applications. In other words, it has some important resources missing which makes the tool a little recommended for certain types of projects.
I also have this bookmarked. I'm still not doing YouTube but I've been collecting as much useful info as possible. One of my goals this year is to get into YouTube.
Do you have a YouTube Channel I can join?
Thank you.
Monica
