Howdy,

YouTube is a great platform to drive traffic to your site. Moreover, you can earn a nice bit of money on the side. In fact, some people make a full-time income from Vlogging!(blogging but with videos)

Firstly you need to two things -

  1. YouTube Account
  2. Adsense Account

This training is going to show you how to make money legally from other people's videos. Furthermore, it doesn't matter what niche you have it works for everyone!

April 2017 Youtube changed their AD policy. before ads are displayed your channel must reach 10k views.

Let's Get Started

Step 1: Head over to your YouTube account and open creative studio

Step 2: In the bottom left you will see a video symbol with the word "create" next to it. click and a drop down will appear. Now click video editor.

Next page step 3 and 4

It looks like I need a ton more likes before I can do this. Thanks for the tip though.

I believe you now need 10 000 views to apply for monetizing your account. And yes it is slow to start plus the earnings are low - but you can earn from it and creating Youtube videos comes with so many added benefits.

I saw that YouTube has removed its Video Editor feature - do you have any thoughts on how to edit common creative videos now?
Reply
LynneHuy Premium
I'm sorry but I never used the edit feature on Youtube at all. I use Filmora to edit my videos - hopefully that will be useful for you?

Since this training I haven't done much on YouTube so not sure. I'll have a play around and see if there is an option.

Hi Steven

Thank you for this training! I have known about videos in the public domain but never knew what to do with them. After reading this training I decided to try it. I created a video yesterday and had two views but made a mistake and decided to try again. So I deleted the video and started the process all over, of course with huge regret of losing the two views.

This morning I checked and I had one view and then I was thinking if I still had the two views from yesterday I would have 3 views. Lol!

Then I decided to post my video on my website. Within a few minutes I had six views. I was so excited! I went to Lynne's training and did her training too. After 2 hours I had 18 views!

Now it is stagnant at 18 views. This was an exciting observation for me.

Thank you for your training. I am excited about posting videos on my channel now. The cc part of it will give me enough less stressful training on using YouTube.

I am now in the process of setting up monetizing.

The more visits you get to your website the more views on YouTube.

I'd advise getting tubebuddy and learn about tags to help rank in serps on YouTube

I have no idea about all that. I have loads to learn. Thank you for pointing the way. I am more than ready to learn. At some point I will understand it.

Thank you Steven.

P.S. I have looked up tubebuddy and serps so yeah I know what those are now.

I've only ever used youtube for watching videos, but have NEVER done one on my own! I have a youtube channel of videos I like saved, but that's it...lol...I'm camera shy when it comes to being on video, so I always thought I had to be in the video to get 10k views...what can I use to make my own videos on youtube without being in them?

Hey Steven,

Yeah, that is a term of endearment for me. It is derived from a military background. Watch the first few minutes of this trainer; You'll see what I mean. Thank you, buddy.

Ah, gotta love the bear. where did the whole bear theme come from?
Reply
ChrisScott Premium
I wrote a long bio when I started and my wife told me no one would read that far and threw the baby's teddy bear at me. So, out of the blue I wrote, " if you are actually reading this call me teddy bear."

Later, everyone kept calling me teddy bear in the community and I did not know why because I had forgotten I put that there and asked and people reminded me.
