Let's start with the WHY part ...
Here's the thing ... By default, a WordPress user can log in to an account from multiple locations at the same time.
Now I'm pretty sure that you can't be present in multiple locations at the same time ...
But concurrent logins may occur when several people are using a shared password from different locations!
And that's a problem ...
First of all, this could be a serious security issue on multi-author websites. And more importantly, it can easily ruin your profits if you are running a membership site or any kind of website with paid, restricted, premium or VIP content.
A few days ago one of my clients had a similar issue, and after solving her problem I've decided to create this short tutorial where I will show you how to stop users from sharing passwords in WordPress by blocking concurrent logins.
