As I said, it's extremely easy to embed an actual tweet into a Wordpress site.

Starting in WordPress 3.4, Twitter has been added as an oEmbed provider and that means that you don’t need to install any plugins or widgets.

All you need to do, is go to Twitter, find the tweet that you want to embed and to follow a few simple steps:

  • click the arrow icon located within the Tweet
  • from the menu, select "Embed Tweet"
  • copy & paste the code provided into your website

Simple as that ...

Also, if the tweet includes media, you'll be able to uncheck the "Include media" checkbox in order to hide images, GIFs or videos displayed alongside the tweet, and if the tweet is a reply to another tweet, you can uncheck the "Include parent Tweet" checkbox to hide the original tweet.
