It goes without saying, if you are running a "static" site (without a chronological blogroll) you'll see only page links on your HTML sitemap page.
And of course, the appearance of the sitemap page will be defined by your current theme ...
Finally, you'll have to include your new sitemap page into your site architecture. You can create a link in your main menu or you can display it as a footer link ... It's your choice ...
What really matters: your user will be able to easily find any post or page on your site without wandering between sub-menus, categories, archive pages, etc.
