Adhering to Google’s Warning on the Disavow Tool
You’ll see a message as follows when you access the Disavow Links:
“This is an advanced feature and should only be leveraged cautiously. If leveraged wrongly, it can literally harm your website’s performance in search engine result pages (SERPs). We, thus, advice that you only disavow links provided you’re very sure that there exists a large number of artificial, low-quality, and spam links that point to the website and you have the conviction that those links can cause setbacks for you”.
Why does Google sound such a warning? Is it because Google is meticulous about the fact you could carelessly lop off some quality links and eventually damage your website?
It’s humanly possible; Google sounds this warning invariably because disavowing backlinks may be risky if no effort is made at all to remove them first. If you must disavow those toxic backlinks according to the havoc they’ve caused to you, it would be hazardous to do so without making frantic efforts to remove them first.
It’s noteworthy to focus attention on the efficacy of the warning provided by Google on the use of the Disavow Tool lest you misuse it.
In as much as you’ve understood the warning, why do you have to use the Disavow Tool?
