If you are still relatively new to Wealthy Affiliate the one thing you will notice from time to time are the updates to the overall WA website. Some of the update are subtle enhancement to the user experience and then there are more sweeping changes.

As of a day or so ago, the Site Manager page has gone through a cosmetic change. In the image above you will see the new look of the screen. This is a screen capture of the stats for my Boot Camp website (bottom) and my Test website (top). As you can see, the new look is more clean looking.

All of the important information you need to know about your website is displayed in an easy to see layout. All of the same button functionalities are still available, they just look different on this new screen and also after you click on the buttons and go on to the new screens. Make sure to check out the new looks.

Hi Robert,

Thank you so much and please forgive me if this is a stupid question...I have been wondering if the new Site Protect is applicable only to those who have purchased domains through WA or also to those who have domains with namecheap (as was recommended in the training back then)?

Thanks, as always, for your help!

Anna

hi Anna, I would say as long as your domain is hosted on WA it will be protected... Bea

Thank you Bea, so if I still have my domain registered with namecheap, I'm ok?

You are welcome Anna.

In answer to your question...Yes! Your websites with domains purchased elsewhere are still protected with SiteProtect. The anti-spam plugin works on the server side of things and does not have anything to do with where a domain is purchased.

All of my websites have domain names that were purchased at NameCheap. And SiteProtect is working perfectly with all of them. So you are being protected.

I do appreciate Carson and Kyle keeping everything up to date.

When I was involved in all those online money making scams, on one of those programs, (it was both a tool and and a money maker) in the back office, it looked like it had not been updated since 1998, when the owner first started his program. He was happy with the money he was making and didn't think it needed updated. But it was so difficult to navigate and figure out. It was like going back in time - way back in the previous century.

Thanks for your blog post. And again, thanks to Carson and Kyle for making sure we move forward in this century. :)

You are welcome Beth. I can see how trying to work on an online platform that doesn't evolve with the times could be frustrating. Thankfully here at WA we have the luxury of knowing that will never happen here.

You are welcome Dave. As far as I know from what Carson said in his blog, there is no need for any anti-spam plugins for websites built here at WA.

You can just do a test like I did. Carson recommended to me and another member to deactivate our anti-spam plugins and see what happens.

So I did so on my WA website which gets 25+ spam comments per day. It has been more than a week and I have not received any spam comments. SiteProtect is AWESOME!

Thank you so much for keeping us up-to-date, Robert.
I especially was having issues with the Anti-Spamshield plugin, so I'm glad to know it is a moot point now.
Big thanks obviously to Carson & Kyle:)

You are welcome Terry. I love all of these updates that the WA team keep implementing to make our user experiences so much better and easier.

I am especially happy about not needing to use plugins anymore to block all of the spam comments my website gets on a daaily basis. The less plugins a website has, the better and faster it performs.
