3. The last thing I look at is the actual competition that is ahead of the keyword or keyword phrase. I would open up the box I got when I clicked view results and look at all of the content that comes in front of where my keyword or keyword phrase was ranked.
In this case everything ranked on page two and one would be my direct competition and my content must be better than what is there to out rank it.
That is pretty much it for looking up simple low hanging fruit.
I keep it simple and it works well for me.
There are a couple other features as in saving keyword lists and the dig feature which just expands on a keyword or keyword phrase checked.
Play around with it and have fun!
Others have their own methods for doing keyword research and no one way is the right way or the wrong way, but rather a combination of them all could be best.
