Depending on your niche website you should pick the right colors. If you have health and vitamin website you shouldn't be using black background with red letters.

These sort of things do matter, people that click on a link to a health & nutrition website will unconsciously get shocked by landing on a black & red page, and the most natural thing they will do is just close it.

To get the most out of our visitors we need to use images with colors as well as certain fonts to provoke or transmit them certain feelings or behaviors.
