Your Niche

Having established on the first page of this tutorial just what a niche is, I now want to move on to helping you to selct your own niche with a simple process that might help speed that up.

The Struggle

I read all the time on WA about people spending ages agonising over what is their perfect niche choice, often at the cost of getting on and building a website and actually learning and adjusting ast they go.

What you are doing here at WA is a business sure, but it should also be fun. In now way should it should be stressful. This is particularly true if you are working a day job as well and you are trying to fit your WA activity in to the spare time that you have between the day job, your family and all of the other things that may be going on in your life.

This, I suspect, is one of the reasons that people abandon their projects, because when something has to give it will not be family or the job that currently pays the bills.

So learn to work smarter not harder and get WA in balance with everything else that you are doing.

Advice

I have two pieces of advice for you, if you are reading this;

1. Don't agonise over a niche choice or wait for it all to be perfect. If you are on an annual membership then your platform costs are about $1 a day you can afford to prototype, fail fast, learn and move on. I know of no other business with the earning potential of this one where for the investment of the cost of considerably less than a can of coke you can afford to experiment, fail fast, learn and move on more knowledgable.

2. I promise that you will learn twice as fast by doing it than thinking about it. All the tools are provided to make this a relatively simple process just harness them and get to that first post.
