The Niche

The niche is the subject area that you choose to base your Blog writing on. It should be something which you know people are searching to learn about or study or gain information on. There are limitless niches and the trick is, where possible to find something which has a lot of interest, but where you select a narrower area, with correspondingly lower competition from other Bloggers in the wider niche.

An Example

For Instance you might choose Cars as a niche but that is a huge area look at the relatively poor Jaaxy results:

Perhaps you might think about narrowing down to performance cars or vintage cars or roadsters or any other area of narrower specialisation where there is energy interest but not too much Blogging competition; let's look at vintage cars:

What if we were to go even narrower, concentrate on one marque and substitute one word (wheels for cars). Now we have Vintage Ford Wheels, look at the Jaaxy results now:

As you can see we are now meeting the guidance from CE training with reasonable traffic and good QSR with SEO under 100.

The articles that can be written under Vintage Ford Wheels (where wheels is taken to mean cars) are endless, cars, parts, wheels, restoration, special insurance, care and maintenance, clubs rally's....I think you get the picture.

But what if cars are not your thing and you are not entirely sure to begin with what your thing is?
