I have given a full explanation on how to create a CTA button and how to add a link to it here:
Do you know how to create a call to action button on Wealthy Affiliate?
You tell a story about what it is you are trying to sell and you might end it with; ...and so there I was, confronted with a decision, do I open the door or do I walk past?
So this button is to create a sense of mystery;
This button is not linked on WA.
I haven't asked anyone to click it, that's their choice, but it's the logical conclusion to my post because I have left them hanging.
Do you want to know what's in the Secret Room?
Then click the next page or leave now...

I love your marketing strategy. We call it empowerment in psychology. We let people decide by themselves. We believe in their power to do the best for themselves.
Even if sometimes there is just one logical decision, at least they took the decision by themselves :)
Cheers, Jeff

michael - excellent training again!!
giving away all of your secrets!!
as you say most people - myself included- are now saying 'what's in it for me'. The old days of opt-in for nowt are gone you need a lead magnet. once i have read this - if it is any good then i will visit your site again.
the other thing i heard about is the sign up with either google or fb or other sm
if the form is already filled in then only one click to sign in - apparently this goes down well with mobile users who don't like to type on their huge,easy to use keyboards while browsing on the way home.
add anticipation and if people want it they will click through- personally i would go off the boil if i have to wait for the email and then confirm - lost count of the number of sites i haven't gone back to!! maybe just impatient - or can get the info easier elsewhere!!
thanks for this
