So this is where it gets interesting. Are they now in the secret room? Of course not. We need their email address before we are letting them anywhere near our secret room (content) and if you have written some good content.
Here is where you learn, please click the bluelink below
Content - How to write great content
Then they will definitely want to sign up, it's the only logical conclusion. But as I mentioned earlier you have to back up your claims or you will lose your audience as quickly as you got them.
So this is what they see next;
Of course the text I wrote in this box is not what I would use with the button on the previous page, I mean, it sounds more American than Australian doesn't it? My whole premise of Americans is based on John Wayne, like Australians are based on Crocodile Dundee, lol
This makes my content, which is sitting behind this notice, very blurry so they have to sign in to see it.
This sends any emails it collects to my Aweber account. It is called Opt-in Panda and you can get it for free here: Opt-In Panda
This one is set up for email only but as Phil (feigner) has said he would rather sign in with FaceBook or Google and you can set it up that way too.
So now what, you are asking yourself?
Turn the page and see for yourself...
I love your marketing strategy. We call it empowerment in psychology. We let people decide by themselves. We believe in their power to do the best for themselves.

giving away all of your secrets!!
as you say most people - myself included- are now saying 'what's in it for me'. The old days of opt-in for nowt are gone you need a lead magnet. once i have read this - if it is any good then i will visit your site again.
the other thing i heard about is the sign up with either google or fb or other sm
if the form is already filled in then only one click to sign in - apparently this goes down well with mobile users who don't like to type on their huge,easy to use keyboards while browsing on the way home.
add anticipation and if people want it they will click through- personally i would go off the boil if i have to wait for the email and then confirm - lost count of the number of sites i haven't gone back to!! maybe just impatient - or can get the info easier elsewhere!!
thanks for this
phil
