There is much debate around Op-tins (subscription forms) especially pop-ups. Whether we should use them or not and will we be penalised? So far the argument is against pop-ups. So I am going to show you how I would use a sign in form.
It will be interesting and I haven't seen anyone else do it this way.
Remember, whatever you promise on an opt-in form make sure you can deliver or you are going to get some very annoyed people who will unsubscribe faster than you can say, WTF!
What you can expect from this training:
- Setting up your CTA (Call to Action button)
- Linking your CTA button to your opt-in
- Adding interest to your sign in form
- Conclusion and pointers
So let's get this show on the road.
Please turn the page for 'Setting up your CTA button'

I love your marketing strategy. We call it empowerment in psychology. We let people decide by themselves. We believe in their power to do the best for themselves.
Even if sometimes there is just one logical decision, at least they took the decision by themselves :)
Cheers, Jeff

michael - excellent training again!!
giving away all of your secrets!!
as you say most people - myself included- are now saying 'what's in it for me'. The old days of opt-in for nowt are gone you need a lead magnet. once i have read this - if it is any good then i will visit your site again.
the other thing i heard about is the sign up with either google or fb or other sm
if the form is already filled in then only one click to sign in - apparently this goes down well with mobile users who don't like to type on their huge, easy to use keyboards while browsing on the way home.
add anticipation and if people want it they will click through- personally i would go off the boil if i have to wait for the email and then confirm - lost count of the number of sites i haven't gone back to!! maybe just impatient - or can get the info easier elsewhere!!
thanks for this
