I have read numerous times, especially from newcomers, that they are unsure sometimes if they should use Page or Post for their site to create content.

In my opinion it doesn't matter so much, but to reduce or even eliminate some confusion about it, I have created this video.

Hopefully it will show how someone can use one or the other, or even both.

It also depends how the layout is created of your theme you are using.

Some themes are more page oriented and others are using more the post version.

In the end it is your decision and taste how you would like to work with your theme.

If you liked the video and also have more questions, please leave your comment below.

Always have a wonderful day :)

Hi Sylvia,
Thanks for making this video. It gives options I hadn't thought about when arranging my website. Just something more to think about going forward :-)

Hi Sylvia. Great video.

In my opinion, I think it does matter...

I think PAGES are for your About page, your Contact page, Privacy Policy, ToU/ToS, etc, and your START HERE/GETTING STARTED page.

Everything else, your articles, should be POSTS.

Anyway, good day. :)

I follow your method also the main reason being, it keeps all my articles nicely categorized in alphabetical order. Which is beneficial for site visitors and I'd imagine search engines too, due to easy navigation.

Everyone has different opinions.

I still believe it doesn't matter and the layout of the chosen theme has to be a factor too.

In the end it is the site owners taste and vision.

All the best to you :)

Jay, I think this is what I like too.

I am not afraid to try new things out. We all can only learn from each other.

Thanks for your input. :)
