Mailchimp was launched as an email marketing network provider. The platform has earned recognition across the globe, part of which is due to its all-in-one marketing platform.
Mailchimp offers email marketing options, opt-in form, CRM, ad capabilities, file hosting, landing page, and social posting. In addition, it provides a transactional email service via Mandrill, which is suitable for sending personalized, e-commerce, and data-driven messages.
Overall, Mailchimp is a successful network. The network has millions of customers across the globe and generated millions in sales. The growth and expansion of Mailchimp could be probably due to its freemium model, which allows users to have access to basic features without spending a dime. For instance, users are allowed to send up to 10,000 emails monthly.
In the nearest feature, Mailchimp development will likely accommodate more e-commerce tools as it has acquired Lemonstand – a former Shopify competitor.
MailChimp is stereotypically known to be a follower and not a leader. If you want to easily predict the next controversial move of Mailchimp, then closely monitor the move made by the big players.
For example, soon after Facebook, Twitter, and Google placed a ban on all cryptocurrency-related ads, Mailchimp followed suit. Facebook now has its own cryptocurrency. What an irony!
MailChimp's reactionary behavior has put the platform in a negative light and also demonstrated a total lack of leadership.
Whenever I start looking into email marketing I start to get dejected. The ones I look at usually have disclaimers that say they don't support affiliate marketing, and my site is in the MMO niche promoting WA and affiliate marketing (among other things).
Is there a site you can recommend that is OK with affiliate marketing being the content?
Thanks Israel.
