MailChimp Affiliate Program
The term affiliate marketing is a marketing activity that is based on performance. An affiliate marketer promotes a product or service for a commission after achieving a specified objective. Affiliate marketing is mostly an online venture.
An advertiser/merchant specifies a goal to be achieved by an affiliate, which is mainly a valid lead or sales. For instance, a merchant could specify 5% as a sales commission for any goods purchased through the affiliate marketer's link.
MailChimp is yet to have an affiliate program. The platform has not yet considered affiliate marketing as part of its marketing and growth strategy. MailChimp is also known for its measures towards affiliate marketing.
MailChimp, however, does have a referral and partner program. Its referral program is called monkey rewards. You can make a commission of $30 in credits bringing a customer. The referral program does not have any cash value, and as such, cannot be redeemed as cash. Such rewards can only be applied towards purchase on Mailchimp.
The partner program of Mailchimp collaborates with talented agencies, designers, freelancers, and other marketing pros for growth.
In contrast to Mailchimp which does not have an affiliate program, there are lots of other alternative email marketing providers that offer affiliate marketing. Most of these marketing companies value the contribution of publishers towards sales and brand awareness building.
Whenever I start looking into email marketing I start to get dejected. The ones I look at usually have disclaimers that say they don't support affiliate marketing, and my site is in the MMO niche promoting WA and affiliate marketing (among other things).
Is there a site you can recommend that is OK with affiliate marketing being the content?
Thanks Israel.
