Someone posed a question about troubles she was having getting images into her articles.
So I decided to write a tutorial answering her and also publishing it here. Afterall if one person queries the process, others are often looking for the same information.
What I would really like is for any visitors to let me know if I am wrong, I have missed anything or they can't figure this out. Also it would be much appreciated if you like my tutorial.
The structure is as follows:
- Create content in Word.
- Start looking for images.
- Check it over and copy it to SiteContent

Hi Helen,
You are ahead of me. I have not attempted to combine images yet. I will have to try your steps here. Thanks.
I just use my own or use those from Site Content. I will share my method here for easy image use in case anyone wants another option.
I write my posts directly in Wordpress so it's a little different.
1) Write post in Wordpress on my site.
2) Find an image I want to use in Site Content.
3) "Save and Insert" the image there on Site Content (blue button at the bottom of the screen).
4) After you "Save and Insert", right click on the image and choose "Save Image As" and save it to your computer (or wherever you want).
5) Back in Wordpress, click the "Add Media" button or the "Set Featured Image" button. Find the image where you saved it and import it.
If you write your posts in Site Content then it is even easier.
Optional: I also send the image out to http://Tinypng.com before uploading it to my post to further compress it. This is not always necessary but it usually saves more space and that is beneficial for site speed. Just find http://Tinypng.com and follow the very simple instructions to upload the image then send it back once it is compressed.
