Add a new post.

Go to your wordpress dashboard>posts>add new

The following screen unfolds:

Clicking this icon1) unfolds 2) the second toolbar . We will come back to them in the next lesson.

3) This is the 'visual' tab. It actually shows how your post looks . Advanced users can open the 'Text' tab, next to it to write extra codes.

4) the title bar: here comes the title of your post. It is also the address of your post and how it is indexed in the search engines (the keywords, remember).

5) This is the writing space. Here comes your text.

6) The media button allows you to insert all kind of media: gallery, video, images, ... even audio and playlists.

7) Although there is a generated backup, you better 'save draft' from time to time. As long as your text is not finished and published, use this button to save your work.
