How to take a screenshot using built in tools

In this last section of this training I am going to show you how to take screenshots with the built in tools in Windows. That means that you don't need to install any additional program.

  • Step 1

Find the Print screen button on your keyboard.

You just need to press it to take a screenshot of your whole screen (you will be able to crop it later). When you press on this button nothing will happen, no sound or indication that the screenshot has been taken.
So ,start by pressing the button.

  • Step 2

So the screenshot has been taken now and we just need to find it.
To do that open the Paint program that is already installed in your desktop.

When the program opens, click on the Paste icon.

Then your screenshot should appear.

Now you can use all the tools that are provided from the program to edit your screenshot. You can crop it, draw, resize, write text on it etc.

When you are done you just have to save it by going to"File" >> "Save as" or to the Disc icon.

Nice & easy to learn, thank you for sharing. I saw your website, it looks awesome, I have an opportunity with a forum that has chosen to feature me on their site, they have 30K organic traffic per month. I may need a partner if you are interested, PM me if you want more details.

Hi, I am using snagit right now but having issues getting the images into the content writer? How do we paste them, I can put them in word and paint but no luck getting them into my text...

These are great tips and I will try with both the above as well!

Did you see my answer to your other question? Images cannot be pasted directly into SiteContent. They need to be uploaded -- You can either use drag-and-drop or a manual upload to copy saved image files from your computer into SiteContent.

It can get very confusing finding things -- When you open your profile page, you'll see a "Questions" tab at the top. Opening that tab displays all of the questions you've asked.. (It appears to only display questions that you have started but not questions asked in other discussion threads. The question you asked above doesn't show up.)

You have to save the images on your computer and then upload them into your post. There is a button in the editor for uploading an image.
