WHEN TO USE RSS(OR ATOM FEEDS?

RSS and Atom feeds are the preferred way of informingBING about brand new URLS on your site

The RSS or Atom feed in combination with a comprehensive XLM Sitmap

NOTE:

Because the URLS contained inside your XLM sitemap, RSS, or Atom feed, this naturally can change to reflect either the latest shapshot of your site or the last published PAGES or POSTS.

The URL of the submitted sitemap or feed should stay the same over time, you should not use date stamps or other incremented post-fixes inside the name of the SML sitemap or feed that causes the URL to change each time you generate them.
