Craigslist is one of the most visited websites today with millions of unique visits everyday. The beauty of craigslist is it allows you to get in front of the customer NOW and they allow you to place affiliate links directly in your ad content. Normally I place ads with cloaked links from my linker in them so I can monitor the clicks. It is not abnormal for me to see 100 clicks on a ad within 15 minutes of placing the ad.

Normally by doing this you will see a immediate surge in hops as soon as your ad is placed and will decline over the first hour as your ad drops in position from within craigslist.

Be patient. Even though your clicks are declining google is indexing your ad and it will soon show up under your keyword and you will begin getting traffic under organic search results.
