Cars generally sell themselves, apart from in some cases where sales people try and guide them in a certain direction., Insurance is the same in many cases. Except for the snake oil insurance and PPI sales people.In fear of losing their job (not making sales targets) Who often use fear tactics and guilt to sell stuff to people. It often backfires though when their commissions get clawed back.

If you walk into a car showroom and see a salesperson chances are you are ready to buy. Otherwise what would you be doing there?

The same goes for buying cars online, If you go to Google and type in 2018 Black Bentley Convertible and ring a telephone number and arrange to go see it. The car is already half sold. Of course there are lots of things the seller or salesperson could do, or not do. Which could lose them the sale.

As I am generally into digital marketing, blogging, social media etc. This post would be more targeted to this audience anyway. The point of this video for me is the majority of people do not like being sold to. They like to buy things. If you know what you are doing you can gently guide them in the right direction by showing or telling them the benefits. As trying to ram stuff down their throats to get a commission often scares people off.

that is a good point, I get it selling is an art. When I go to a page and you are instantly bombarded with pop ups and constant distraction of advertised products then I would not bother buying from that page, BUT in saying that so many do the same so obviously they must be making money some people like to have advertised products shoved in their faces.. so everyone is different. also many of the pages have a hook. A favourite one is "look how so and so looks like now!!..." I have been hooked with that so going to the page is too much advertising and the worst you don't get to see what the heck the person looks like now...that is what I call underhand, sleazy and dishonest.. I´m a salesman. But as I see it, it my job to find out what people want and help them to find it in as good quality and price as possible.
