Custom Side Bar Banner

My next step would be get a custom banner placed onto your side bar. Like the author box, this is something you only have to do once.

You design it, place it on your site in the side bar this time, via

Appearance > Widgets

and it is always displayed on your website.

As you can see in the banner below - which I created in Canva - I can now potentially have interested visitors check out Wealthy Affiliate.

You will see the faded picture under the text is still related to my "Weight loss" niche, however I am giving my visitor an idea that, maybe they could create a 'profitable website' in their niche.

You could link this banner to either your Wealthy Affiliate sign up page or to a WA Review.

Doing it this way you are not putting any money making type banner as your visitor checks out your site. Think about how you feel if you are going to something specific and there are banners of completely non-related topics. It is quite off putting.

Like anything you do on your site, put yourself in your audience's shoes. Look at it from their perspective and you can't go wrong.

Hi Sharon, thanks for sharing! I agree with you, it's off-putting to visit a niche website and stumble on unrelated banners promoting something else.

The ways you mention here are really subtle though, I'm going to use your tips :)
