Security Certificates
Of course, Google has begun to flag the non-HTTPS websites as ‘Unsecure”, which means a great loss in traffic, since October 2017. So, if you’re still on the HTTP version, you had better move your site to the HTTPS version. But not that alone, the non-HTTPS are not trusted by Google.
Spam on Your Sites or Those that Link to You
If your site is found with some spam content or comments, thus leading to some serious trust issues, that is an automatic drop in your TrustRank in SERPs. Google spiders detect spam elements on your site or those that link to your domain.
Contact Details with Physical Addresses
If you’re selling products on your site one way or the other, or perhaps do ask visitors to submit their card details, showing your physical address and contact details will communicate to both users and search engines that you’re a real human, not a robot.
The Dedicated Server/Unique IP Address
If your site is hosted on a shared hosting plan or you operate on a shared IP, there’s a possible occurrence of any of those sharing sites getting involved in shady affairs that can impact your TrustRank negatively.
Shared hosting or shared IP of this nature can hurt your ranking seriously and harm your brand’s reputation in search engines. That’s exactly why unique/dedicated hosting and IP are the most prominent choice for search engine optimization. But if it happens you can’t incur the required cost on using a dedicated server and IP, go with a host that you can at least trust.
Sitemaps
Add your sitemaps to Google Search Console so you can make pages of your site visible to web crawlers for the proper indexing.
About Page
Like your physical contact, “About” pages tell search engines that the webmaster is fully committed to what he’s created. So, while writing the “About” page, try to be detailed enough.
Policy
When you add a privacy policy page to your website, you’re making users realize that you respect their privacy in good faith and you can be duly entrusted with any of the personal information they may leave on your site.
Because Google pays close attention to your privacy policy, make sure it has clear terms of use, privacy policy, and of course, affiliate disclaimer.
