The "One Authority Blog, Multiple Links" Tactic!
This particular tactic is my favorite. I leave quality and relevant comments on 7 industry authority blogs with 3-5 comments left on each of the blogs per week.
I do generate a couple of unique links from each of the blogs weekly and monthly. So, this is referred to as the "One blog, multiple links" tactic. I generate a decent amount of backlinks monthly from those blogs through blog commenting.
Conclusion
Though there are a couple of tactics that really work for link building, only a few ones are effective for SEO productivity.
As a commenter, you must be certain about the ranking value of the site you're leaving your comments before you drop your URL on it. You must implement an ideal link building tactic the natural way.
So, it's better to implement the white hat SEO strategy for link building than spamming links around (which is subject to Google's penalty).
I feel for the multitude out there who have ignored this pro blogging tactic (blog commenting) that’s greatly suitable for SEO best practices because they were thinking it’s now pointless for SEO judging by the fact that search engines no longer follow those comments like ever.
They didn’t realize the fact that Google only stopped following the comment links to minimize spam while they have some secret ways of rewarding everyone who does blog commenting the right way.
I like to comment on my favorite blogs because they are popular on the web. They're usually ranking on the first page of Google, so I just know that they're a good source for backlinks.
And if you go to that site, you'll find lots of new and relevant comments. I also learned from your post, that it's best to comment on the blog, while the post is fresh.
Because Google likes fresh and relevant content. Great for getting backlinks to your own blog! Thank you for your very helpful content.
