There are many things that you can do to improve upon existing content after you have already created it. Your website will continually evolve as you build it out and as you start getting more traffic to your pages and you have "key" converting pages on your website, you will want to refine them and improve the overall experience for your website visitors.

In this video I am going to walk you through the process of improving upon your Wealthy Affiliate review page, but these techniques can be applied to absolutely any page or post on your website.

The points of improvement that I touch on are:

  • Thoroughness
  • Ratings / Review Attributes
  • Product Screen Captures
  • Graphs & Charts
If you have any questions about any of the content within the video, please leave them below and I will help you out.

Great training love the graph tool. I don't have much action on my site yet but it's only been up for 2.5 weeks so I guess I will just be patient.

Can you take a screenshot of product images from other sites and use it on your site, is that okay?
Reply
Paullamb777 Premium
You can take a screenshot by pressing certain keys on your computer of certain things on other websites. Please be careful of copyright infringement.

If you need royalty free photos the best place to go is pixabay.com.
Reply
shrestha Premium
Copyright infringement is what I wanted to know about. How do you know that you are not allowed to take a screenshot of a product and not use it on your site?
Reply
Paullamb777 Premium
I look up laws concerning copyright. You never know what to expect these days. Everything is protected under copyright, including any blogs written by you on your website the minute you publish them.
Reply
shrestha Premium
Yes, I agree with you. Thanks.
Reply
nathaniell Premium
No, you cannot take a screenshot of a product image. I BELIVE you can screenshot the website, which contains the product image to show where you can buy it. In that context, you're "transforming" the image, or at least maybe you could make the case.

But screenshotting an image and pretending your own is the same as downloading IMO. Perhaps a lawyer could argue a different case.

If you want a product image, email the seller and see if they will allow it. Many do!

to find the snipping tool tyype in the search bar for snipping tool on your computer and it will show up. It has a Scissors for an icon.

Then if I want to grab a full web page i use the 'prt sc' button popularly called the print screen button.

To use the print screen button just hit the button the go to your photo editor and paste it there.
(when you hit the button you won't notice any change, so have faith is on your clipboard, go ahead and use it thanks.

All,
I'm kinda coming in here on an "end around", having proceeded using other "guru's" insights simultaneously along my journey and incorporated them into my various sites.

So this is a a good come home, since ALL of what I have created and done is indirectly and ultimately pointing "my readers" to WA with the hope of recurring income going forward.

So, it's nice to be able to fill in some gaps and polish up some other attributes. I had spent about 6 months working on my first eBook released on Clickbank, with tons of links to WA products and services and have "repurposed some of my book articles" back into posts on my site(s) pointing to WA and sister affiliate products.

I am now getting consistent traffic flowing into WA using social media while promoting my eBook, etc. Everything is back linked, cross linked and hyperlinked.

So, I'm excited about all of that. Several posts and videos have made it to page 1, numbers 1 &3 &10; all on the same page 1 on one occasion. So, apparently this and the other "hard work" is paying off.

Bottom line to all the new folks out there. This "community" is no BS! This works. I realize that I need to focus now on "pointing that aspect out" to my readers and my social media pages and during my next run of YouTube video AdWords campaigns soon to run.

I got over 15,000 views and associated website visits in less than a week, for next to nothing with the 100.00 Google "coupons".

Plus page promotion on FB, along with website promotions have really helped rather inexpensively.

Which is the whole "thread" of my ebook. "Beginners. Skeptics on a FREE or very little out of pocket budget".

So, stick to your dreams and KEEP move on. This S*** Works!!!

Check out my sites and blogs here on WA with my name "docub".

Please share this with your followers and give them encouragement!!!

Talk Soon

Brian

That's awesome to hear! Thank you for sharing that info! I'd love to pick your brain someday soon in-effort to try and figure out how to take this to the next level.

I've been a member here since October 1st however, I also fell into a "Guru Trap" about three or four months prior to that and spent nearly $10,000 USD on that one...now I'm without any emergency savings and needing to begin to recoup some of that loss.

I've only had a few small sales trickle in here and there but mostly looking to find some "Consistent Sales" on a regular weekly or monthly basis.

So if you're willing to share some "how to's" on your successes, I'm all ears, my friend!

All The Best,
Jeremy Wilson

Hi:

I went to your website and you are doing great. Nice layout. I recognize the theme you are using - SongWriter. Nice choice. I use that one too for one of my sites. A couple things I can suggest for feedback:

1. Capitalize your i's. In almost all of your pages, your "I" is lowercase instead of capitalized.
2. Be consistent in your heading levels and use H1 as the primary instead of making them ALL CAPS.
3. On the page below you have a couple different font faces and font sizes...make them consistent and use H1 and H2 heading levels on this page instead of just bold facing them.
http://mytopbusinessaffiliate.com/online-business-from-home
4. Put your Search Box on the top instead of below your Recent Posts and Important Pages
5. You have underlined your headings on this page which is inconsistent with other pages http://mytopbusinessaffiliate.com/internet-scam-detector
6. Assign "Feature Images" to each of your blogs so you will have images appearing on your blog roll - this page - http://mytopbusinessaffiliate.com/

I hope that helps a little. Have a great day!

hey there, sometimes it can take google a few days to actually index new sites. As you add content to it the search engine spyders will start to pick up the content and index it for you. Google also has a submit url tool that you can use if you want to say HEY GOOGLE come look at my site right now which can usually get you indexed within a few minutes but until you have some posts/pages up it does no good because there is nothing for visitors to see.

Just search in google google submit url and it should take you to the link to submit your site =). Once you start adding content you might start seeing constant traffic in as early as a few weeks to a few months.
