According to some so-called marketers, if you want to achieve success, stretch out your market and attract as many customers as possible by adding lots of sub-fields into a single niche. But does this really work? I think not!

It usually doesn’t work. Until and unless you narrow down your niche, you won’t be able to achieve the success you want. Let’s go over an example:

Let’s say you’re running a music website. When people search the web, they do not search for the keyword “Music,” they search for a genre like Jazz, Funk, Pop, Rock, etc. They will also search by artist (i.e. Adele, Coldplay, Gunz N’ Roses, etc.).

As you can see, when the search is done in this way, it is more precise and will take the user straight to the page. Now, if you don’t narrow down your music niche, you will lose the audience, and in turn, lose money that you have invested in promoting this site.

Here is a blueprint for breaking down your niche: Abstract Topic: Health

Sub-Topic: Natural Health

Perfect Niche: Alkaline Food, Electric Food, Raw Foods

Thanks, I was a bit unclear about selecting a niche. The first time choosing a niche is difficult, but throughout time I know there will be many niches popping up in my head.
