OK. Let's see the last tip ...
6. Leveraging user generated content (UGC)
Affiliate marketing has many important advantages, but of course, has certain disadvantages too ...
The biggest pain is probably the constant need for new articles, product reviews, etc.
And let's face it, creating hundreds, thousands of new, content-heavy articles isn't easy at all!
And of course, without content there is no such thing as affiliate earnings. Or even worse,
having too many links and too little content on your website or re-using the vendor's product descriptions and landing pages is a guaranteed catastrophe recipe that most likely will bury ALL your SEO efforts under a painful, irrevocable search engine penalty.
This is why is so important to leverage UGC.
And is easier than you may think. I'm not talking necessarily about allowing guest posting or "hiring" your readers as contributors. Just a few examples ...
Blog commenting, product reviews, testimonials or any other option for users to join discussions on your website can do a great job and charge your SEO campaign constantly generating additional unique and super-relevant extra content.
More to that, enabling user ratings will allow you to "earn" those nice looking stars in your search engine snippet. Which, no doubt, makes you stand out even in a crowded SERP.
Final words
Some of these tips are useful in the early stages, when you are trying to build a new affiliate website from scratch.
Others will help you to improve your affiliate SEO strategy on existing websites.
Either way, you should use them, because they will help you to achieve better search engine rankings. And eventually, to earn more from your efforts.
And that's it my friends!
