After publishing new posts on my movie site I started sharing the link to the post on reddit. I started doing this, because I heard this at a Webinar... but to get a bit linkjuice, a free backlink. Later on I noticed that on the days I shared the link on reddit I got significantly more traffic!

I have to say I am not a reddit expert and I can't really tell you more about it but you should at least share your new posts on it, you will see the difference!

I'm growing extremely frustrated not driving traffic towards my site. Someone please help because I'm about to give up. I just need some guidance, and I don't want to fail at this because I've already put in countless hours into this site. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

I use the plugin Jetpack. There you can connect your social media accounts (under settings->publicize)
Then every time you publish a new article it automatically gets shared on the connected accounts.
