So ...

Upon activation, go to Appearance => Widgets and simply drag the "Top Commenters Widget" into your blog sidebar widget area:

As you'll see, the widget comes with powerful customization options that will allow you to configure it according to your needs.

First of all, you can change the default "Top Commentators" title to whatever you want ... Also, there is an optional description field where you can enter a thank you message, a subtitle, etc.

Next, you can define a miminum number of required comments, and more importantly, you'll be able to exclude yourself or other authors.

Finally, there is an option that will allow you to reset the top commenter data according to your needs. By default, the widget uses a monthly reset, but you can change that into week, month, year, or list all time top commenters as well:

These are the most important basic settings, but there are many other - very straightforward - customization options: you can limit the number of names and the number of characters in names, you can choose whether you would like the usernames to be linked, you can add a nofollow attribute to the links, you can show an award icon next to your top commenters, etc.

OK. Now let's see the result ...

This a nice plugin. By sorting out your top commenters you are able to know your loyal followers and their sentiments.
Nice way to improve yourself.
