NOTE: This is not necessary for those who have used WordPress Express. You can skip this section. However, if you did use WordPress Express and want to change the theme then you can follow these steps.
To change the theme on a WordPress blog you have to first select a theme you like. To do this you can click here and search for a theme you like.
Once you have chosen your theme you need to download it. For this example we will be using the Modern Green Theme.
Once you have found your theme you need to download it.
Once you have it downloaded unzip the files. Open up your FTP program and then log in. You will need to find a folder called themes. It is usually found like this. httpdocs ---> blog ---> wp-content ---> themes. Once you have found this folder create a new folder inside it for your new theme. (something you can recognize) Inside this new folder you need to copy all the files you just unzipped from before.
Once everything is copied over it should look like this.
From here you need to just log into your WordPress account. To do this you need to go to yourdomain.com/blog/wp-admin. Once you have logged in. Go to Appearance and then Themes.
If you have done it correctly you should have a new option on the themes homepage to use another theme. Once you see it select Activate and you now have a new theme for you blog.
If you want to change the theme to something else repeat these steps for each theme you wish to have available for you. You can now start posting and using your blog regularly.
