Are you thinking of creating a video from your existing blog content? You do not need an expensive camera to create a video. It is also needless to spend long hours of your time just to record a video.

This is because there are a ton of free tools that you can use to create a video from your already-existing blog content. Isn't it amazing? Of course, it is.

In this video presentation, I will show you how to easily turn your blog content into a Video with the aid of some free tools.

1. Outline Your Storyboard

The first approach, to creating a video, begins with the building of a slideshow. Slideshows are used to communicate salient points; these points can easily be converted into a video file.

In order to create a presentation, search through your blog for a great and up-to-date post. Once you get a post that has a lot of valuable information, convert it into a text which you will use for your video.

Pick all the key points in the blog content and copy them into a text file. Make sure each of your slideshows does not go beyond 10-15 words. Your aim here is to keep it as brief as possible. Viewers spend an average of 4 seconds on a slide to grab the message. Remember that, your viewer may not even “pause” the video to read what you wrote.

2. Use Free Images to Enhance Your Slides

You need to add some beautiful photos to spice up your slides. You can get free photos from places like; Unsplash, Stock Up and Pexels. These sites will give you some cool and creative stock photos for your slides.

Keep in mind that these websites have their peculiar terms and conditions for using their photos. It's important that you read and understand their terms first before using any of their images in your video.

Some of their images have what is known as "creative commons license". Should you use any of such images, it is important to give credit to the source website of the photo.

3. Use Google Slides to Build Your Slideshow

Now, you want to create a presentation from the content you've gathered so far. Note that my explanation here will be from a Google slides point of view. I choose Google slides because it is compatible with different operating systems and it is also free to use.

On your Google drive, click on “new” to select Google slides. You can choose to use a theme or template that suits your brand. If you have any, make sure you apply it before your start.

You can either choose from the pre-installed themes or go online to shop for your desired presentation template or theme, as the case may be.

Once you are done choosing your desired template or theme, you can then customize the background of your slides with a color that suits your brand. It is also important to choose a color that is in contrast with your text, so your text can be legible.

The next phase is to start making your slides. To get started, create a suitable title for your slides which should, of course, be in sync with your blog content. After your title, click on the layout from the Tools bar, and then select your desired layout.

Head over to your storyboard, copy and paste the already-written text into the slides. You can add an image, if you want, by clicking on the image icon. As you continue to build your slides, you will begin to see that your video is already taking shape.

Click on File from the menu bar and choose the "Download as Option" button. On the submenu, select either ODP Document (.odp) or Microsoft PowerPoint (pptx). Google slides will automatically convert your presentation into the file format you selected and will be downloaded.

4. Turn Your Slideshow to a Video Online

After downloading the presentation to your computer, you can use the service of a free online tool like Convert for your video. Online-Convert is a free tool that you can use to convert your slides into a video.

To do this, simply visit Online Convert and select Convert to Mp4 from the dropdown menu. Upload your file (slideshows), assign YouTube as the video preset. Leave the rest of the options as default, and click on the "Convert file button". Your file will be converted into an Mp4 and the video will be automatically downloaded into your computer.

5. Add a Music Track

If you feel like adding music to your video, you need the service of a video editing tool.

There are several video editing tools, but you can use HitFilm Express; HitFilm Express is one of the free video editing software with some amazing features.

To add audio using HitFilm Express, import the video and audio into a media archive; select the audio file from the Media tab; trim the audio file to suit the length of your video using a trimmer.

Use the insert icon on the trimmer to add your video, and pull the two clips to line up together. This will make the audio to synchronize with the video as it plays.

You can then export the file after previewing the clip to see if the video and audio are in sync.

6. Upload Your Video

Now that your video is ready, you can upload it online to any of your social media handles. You can use the video for internet marketing to promote your brand and drive huge conversion.

Conclusion

With the way video marketing is growing on social media platforms, it will be nice to get a grip on some cheap and easy ways to make a video. With the content on your blogs, you are already on your way to creating an engaging video.

You don't even need to pay anyone to design an engaging video for you. With the right sets of tools and information, you are good to go. I believe this presentation will always come handy for you.

Great video and guide, but I think it would be more beneficial for the video to actually show the steps you take to create the video. As in a screen recording. Would that be possible?

Thanks for watching, ChrystopherJ! Yeah, screen recording is an option for making your video just as speech demonstration is a good option. So, I chose to just demonstrate the text in my video content to make it visually-appealing while readers get the message from the training without having to see who's speaking at all. Thanks for your contributions!

Thank you for your prompt response :-) I just know there’s a lot of members here, who will want to create this type of video, but they will struggle going off text based instructions. Maybe you could do a second one, and link between the two, so that it gives members the options? Just thinking out loud to help you, and them, that’s all :-) I don’t need it, as I already create this type of video style, also using Google WaveNet :-)
