In my last article where I talked about how hot YouTube shorts are at the moment, I got comments that led me to create this tutorial on how to create TikTok Videos And YouTube shorts in Canva. I understand that some people are not so confident in front of a camera so they are afraid of creating a TikTok account or even starting a YouTube Channel.
But you don't have to be afraid, you can easily start by posting videos that you create in Canva, then you can graduate to using screen captures to show people different things, and then slowly you will start appearing in from of the camera.
When I started my YouTube channel, I used screen capture, and then slowly I started posting on TikTok, and then I built my confidence and started creating longer videos on YouTube.
So Let's Get Into The Tutorial
First, you need to create a Canva account if you don't already have one, It's free to join, you just need your email address. The free version of Canva gives you lots of material that you can use on your projects, many templates, images, and even free videos. Once you create an account, then on the search bar in Canva, just type TikTok and then choose TikTok video.
If you can't find free videos, and images for your project on Canva, simply go to pixabay, pexels, and Unsplash. Those three websites will have everything you need, whether its images or videos.
Once you find the videos and images, just download them to your computer, from there you can either drag the file and drop it on the uploads tab in Canva, or you can click upload media and then upload your files into Canva.
From there you can then click on the image or video and it will appear on your canvas ready for you to edit.
Remember YouTube Shorts videos can only be up to 60 seconds, same with TikTok videos, when editing your pages in Canva, you can crop the time, for example, you can have each page lasting for 5 seconds or 3 seconds, it really depends on your project.
Also when posting your Shorts on YouTube don't forget to use #shorts on the title or at the end of the video description.
you can also trim the videos so they last a shorter time. So just keep adding pages until you are happy with the final product.
How To Add Music To Your Videos
For Tiktok you don't have to worry about music because Tiktok has a large music library, all you have to do is upload your video to TikTok and then search for sounds and choose the kind that you like or choose from the trending sounds.
For YouTube Shorts, you just need to go to your Channel and click on Studio, then go to Audio Library, and then filter by no attribution required. And then add mood so you can find the kind of sounds you want for your video, if you want calm, then add that as the mood, if you want happy, sad, or scary just add it as the mood.
Once you are happy with the audio, then download it and then upload it to Canva. You can then proceed to add it to your video.
I sure hope you will find this tutorial helpful. I know there are other ways of doing this but, this is how I create simple TikTok videos and YouTube shorts when I don't want to appear in front of the camera, or when I want to be creative.
Also as I mentioned, if you are using Windows, you can use the windows video editor app to do the same thing. Just hit the window key on your computer and type video editor, and then launch it.
Thank you for your time, and please leave me a comment below with your views and opinions about this tutorial. And if you think it's helpful then give it a like.
