So ...

Upon activation, go to Settings => WP Advanced PDF to access the plugin configuration page.

First of all, you'll have to define the display and availability options. In other words, you can select ...

  • where to display the the PDF download option (your website’s public area or in the WP admin area)
  • whether you want downloads to be available for everyone or just registered users

Next, you'll see several expandable tabs where you can customize various options.

  • the "General" tab will allow you to select allowed post types, to define name formats, etc
  • the "Button positioning" tab will allow you to define the placement and the alignment for the download button (default or uploaded button image)
  • the "Header", "Body" and "Footer" tabs will allow you to customize the according sections of your PDF downloads (fonts, custom text, CSS options, margins, included images, padding, etc)
  • the "Watermark" tab will allow you to watermark your text and images to protect them from unauthorized distribution
  • the "Custom Bullet Style" tab will allow you to define the default bullet to be used as <LI> bullet symbol for your bulleted lists
  • the "Advanced Settings" tabs will allow you to define additional options like page rotation, font spacing, etc

As you'll see, the plugin comes with a wide range of options. Usually, the default options will work for most of websites, but of course, you can play around with these settings according to your needs.

OK. Now let's see the magic ...

Certainly, a useful tool and I can see using it for a few posts.

Just a quick question that I did understand it correctly. I can customize this download PDF plugin "just" for one post/page and it won't appear on the rest of my site if I don't want to?

I can see for my site to share a couple of posts that way but not the whole content of my site.

Thanks for the help :)

Thank for the PDF training. Do you know of any WA training about the "registered user" function? I want to make a page that will be a ebook, but I do not want it available to the public.
