Upon activation, simply create a new post/page or open an old post/page to edit.
You'll notice a new "Add columns" button in the toolbar of your Classic Editor:
Place the cursor in the exact place where you want to display the column(s) and click the "Add columns" button. A pop-up window will appear allowing you to to add the first column. Next, you'll have to choose how much area your column can cover (on desktop, tablets, and mobile devices). For example, if you set a 50% "Desktop grid percentage", your column will cover the half row on desktop devices. And so on ...
Once you are happy with your choices, simply add your column content in the "Content" box, and finally, click the “OK” button to insert the newly defined column into your post/page.
As a result, a shortcode will be inserted into your content:
And that's it... Now the first column is added, and you can repeat the process to add more columns ...
For the last column in row, you'll have to check the "Last column in row?" checkbox:

I like coding but I'm into speed also. I like that I can use this plug-in to make my site look better or slightly different from other websites. I can always come back later to code it and remove the plug-in. But if it does not slow down my site. I just may stick to doing it this way.
Quick question. Some plug-ins will let you set-up your layout, then you can deactivate the plug-in and not lose your setting. Is this plugin offering this feature?
