The first thing you will need is an FTP program, FileZilla is a great free one that you can use.

Download it to your computer, unzip, install and open. There is a ton of information on how to use it, so I'm just going to cover a quick start. once its open you will see this page.

On the left side panel will be your computer where you can search and find the files you want to upload, on the top nav bar far left is a file tab, click on that and a dropdown menu will open the first link is site manager, click on that and this window will open.

This is where you add your site, click on newsite and name it, this will be in the left panel, I have my sites blanked out, then on the top right add your FTP information that you got from your hosting company, for the host name I have found that just putting in the website url with out any http or www works fine (mywebsite.com) port left blank in most cases, Servertype FTP, Logontype normal, add your user name and password and click on connect.

Once your connected you will see in the right hand window your site layout, you want the root directory on cpanel that is public_html NOT public ftp with our WA account its httpdocs Not the httpsdocs you want to click on that file it will open up that directory.

You now are looking at all the files for your site, now all you have to do is click on your file or PDF and drag it from the left panel to the right panel it will start uploading and in the very top window on the left it will tell you when its done.

I would like to point out that you need to watch where you drop your file, if you drop it in one of your other folders that is where it will be loaded, if I were to drag my PDF and drop it on the wp-content folder that is where it will be, not in the root directory, so you need to drop it where there is no directory, like on top of the .httacess or the vti_inf anything that is not a folder, unless you want it in that folder.

So after you upload something and can't find it look in your other folders, it happens to all of us.
