Did you know that many themes use different text fonts? I know I have seen many members asking how to change the font within their theme. Many will turn to a plugin but as you should know by now, using too many plugins is bad for the performance of your website. But you could change your theme and choose one that has the font you like or the options to change them.

SELECT A THEME WITH FONTS YOU LIKE

First you need to see the theme up close by viewing the Details section of each theme. To do this when viewing any of the themes, mouse over the theme and it will say Details & Preview. See above image. Now click on the theme and that will display the themes Details section as seen in the below image, giving you a preview of what the theme and font will look like.

Scroll down and look at how the different sized fonts and header text look. If they are not to your liking, find another theme with better looking font. One way to do that is to move on to the next available theme by clicking on the right facing arrow, which will bring up the next available theme’s details page, as seen in the below image.

As you can see, both the header size and font style have changed with this theme as opposed to the previous theme’s details. When researching a theme, remember to always check the details section and read to see what customization options are available. Some themes have built in font style sets, allowing you to change the font style without a plugin.
