Further Information on Verifying Your Business on Yelp
- Once you’ve submitted your listing information to Yelp, you’ll begin the process by creating a Yelp for Business Owners (YBO) account.
- After submitting, Yelp will send an email verification message to the email address you previously listed. Check your email inbox and hit the “Confirm my Email Address” link.
- Your listing will be reviewed by a moderator and you’ll have another email sent to you from Yelp purposely to create a free business user account. Fill out your domain-specific email address and legal name. You’ll get to know why this is insanely helpful in the step below.
- If a domain-specific email address is used, you should be done right away! Yelp will just require phone verification for your business. You’ll be prompted to verify the pin code sent to your email inbox when you’re given a call. It’s pretty simple, but can be disgusting if you are not always with your mobile phone.
You should now be able to access your business profile. I suggest completing your business profile as much as you can. Keeping an updated business listing is fundamental to showing up at the top of Yelp rankings.
