5. Social Media Exploit
Most quality articles online go unread on an everyday basis, hugely because they are not promoted. Businesses that involve a team method to spreading the word on forums and social media platforms gain a considerable increase in attracting more traffic – especially when consistency is maintained.
On a like note, never think a blog only needs to be promoted once or twice. If some specific blog posts have really gone viral with your LinkedIn audience, for instance, share them again one week or two later in a totally different LinkedIn group (in a spam-free, useful way, definitely) or on your own profile. Also, never disregard the remaining social media channels! Ensure the content is structured for optimal sharing on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
The Blogging Hitting Point
To really become a successful blogger, it takes years of publishing high-quality blog posts. To experience the success in blogging, it takes years of content building and hard work – which includes posting an article of 1,000 – 2,000 words long every working day for the first 2-3 years.
If you hardly miss this goal, you’ll gather an affluence of great content and will be able to reshape your technique to posting frequency. After some years of doing this, you can then start publishing a blend of fresh and rewritten posts at least 2-3 times weekly.
But you need to note that it doesn’t work out overnight. In your first 14 months of consistent blog posts, you may likely start seeing a hitting point of exponential growth in traffic during the months 6, 9, 12, and 14.
Also, do you think with fewer posts is it good to start launching it in social media?
I agree. Consistency is really important. What I've noticed is that when you start out you obviously don't necessarily have the opportunity to integrate because you have very little content.
So, what I've found is that as I create more and more content I will go back in to older posts and start to link to recent posts if it aligns etc. And, with new posts I will link to existing posts. That is, I integrate.
Also, with Calls to Action I've just recently gone in to every post and updated this as I think I was a little passive (and also inserted affiliate links), but also, again when we start out we are busy building and developing affiliate networks etc and so at the time of writing content may not have these established.
Not sure if it's been worth it or not yet, but I hope so. My theory though, no point increasing traffic if you can't get your readers to engage in some way.
Thank you very much Israel!
