Are you taking action? Pen and paper in hand? Oh, never mind. No one seems to want to take real action these days. Especially picking up paper and pen.

Maybe that's why many are so unproductive, unsuccessful and even lost. What did I do with that scrap of paper I had earlier. Or was that just a receipt?

Successful people take action and continue taking action regardless of life showing up every few minutes. They have pen in hand if necessary, and use it.

Life gets in the way every day. It never will stop getting in our way. One guy recently asked me if I were willing to work every day on taking action and even deleting my email addresses and giving up communicating with everyone online and only working on my task at hand. Hmmmmmm...

I said yes! But I never did. At least not the first year. And throughout my first year of marketing online, I lost a good hour each day consumed with reading and replying to hundreds of emails. What a waste of time that was!

You've heard the phrase, either fish or cut bait. I think it means you either need to take action or you should just get out of the way. You can't be somewhere in between action and non-action. Really?

Basically cutting the bait means you are in the background doing nothing much but supplying something for the person already taking action. Like bait.

Or perhaps you are spending tons of time promoting someone other than yourself. Can you say Bait cutter?

Decide you are going to do something or just watch someone else who is taking action. Shit or get off the pot is the more common phrase today, I think.

To me it means take action regardless. No matter what. Be the leader!
