4. Be careful what you tell your visitors on the “reject button” of a Yes/No pop-up. Please don’t insult them.

    I can't just ignore them...
    ... I closes the whole tab, "good-by"

Yes, you're right. Most site owners treat lightly their readers attention. And that's the result: Good bye to their site!

Yes, I have felt the same but I found if you set up your pop-up to pop-up within the first 5 seconds or less and then not reappear it is a very good way to get more signups

The trouble many people go crazy with them

I just started using a pop-up recently, and I did avoid them because they are annoying. I found I could use a pop-up without annoying my readers by setting it to appear once 5 seconds after they visit my website.

The majority of readers don't get started reading in this length of time, so this has been working very well for me and I am receiving steady sign-ups since using this strategy

I suggest you avoid using more than one pop-up and set it to only appear once, so that is my experience I hope it helps some of you to use them more effectively

Hi Jeff! I appreciate you have shared your experience with us. Yes, more than one pop-up is too much.

And always placing our pop-up with our visitors in mind is the correct way to go.

Thank you very much for stopping by and for your useful insight. All the best with your online business! Keep well!

Good you're trying different pop-ups. Testing things such as timing or placing pop-ups when visitor show exit intention and comparing results can really improve UX on your site while growing your mailing list.

Fine and you? I have been trying to write posts in batches. It helps us be more productive. :)

    And how have you been?

Really, I am not familiar with batches, I am considering in building a website through WA but I don't want to use their hosting I just don't like so many websites on one server

I am experiencing them a lot but I ignore them. They can be very distracting when you want to focus. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, they are distracting. And they should not be that way... Pop-ups should come up when most of us are feeling grateful towards the content creator. But most seem to not be whiling to wait till that happens.

Thanks for stopping by and for leaving a comment.
