We are just about done.
Before we finish we need to find out how to turn these comments on and off.
WordPress has a feature many do not even know about called quick edit.
This feature allows you to quickly turn off and turn on your comments box on any page or post. This comes in handy for say pages like your privacy policy where you would not want a comment box.
To use this feature go to your dashboard, then depending on if you are working on a page or a post, ( the instructions are the same for both) hover over the desired page or post tab and you will see a drop down menu that says "all pages" or "all posts"
Click the appropriate one and find the page/post you are wanting to set the comments box on.
When you hover the mouse over the title of that page/post the quick edit tab will appear and you will click that tab.
For posts you will see this box
And for pages you will see the following box
Check these boxes out closely and you will see several features at your fingertips, including the allow comments boxes.
To turn on the comments, make sure there is a check in the allow comments box.
To turn them off, make sure the allow comments box is unchecked.
That's it!
You are now ready to write content and allow comments to be posted on your page or post!
Thanks for visiting my tutorials and if you have any comments or questions please leave them below :)
