After you have those keywords written down, click on the “keyword ideas” tab. This is where any keywords that are related to your niche are going to show up. Write down the ones you think would make a good addition to your niche or authority site you are going to be creating.

Remember you can sort these average monthly searches and look at them that way.

Tips: Higher monthly searches are not always the best keywords

You want to pick keywords that you can write about and have buyer intent. It might be worth your time going after one hundred smaller terms (few hundred searches a month), than it would be going for a few terms that have 10k searches a month.

Tips: The competition column has absolutely nothing to do with ranking websites

This column is to see how many advertisers there are running AdWords with that keyword. I would disregard this section completely.
